Long Island City's Original Steakhouse
Jackson Avenue Steakhouse
The Jackson Avenue Steakhouse, located in the heart of Long Island City, served as a pioneer eatery in this rustic, industrial based neighborhood. The doors of this little gem opened in September of 1996. Since that time, our executive chef, has served the residents as well as the professional population of Long Island City.
Upon entering the Jackson Avenue Steakhouse, secure yourself a seat at the quarter of a century old bar. Once greeted, ask to see the splendid martini menu, if that’s your thing. If not, we pour over ten varieties of wine, or you can simply enjoy our seasonal beers or our menu of scotches.
The Jackson Avenue Steakhouse serves up portions that are as generous as they are delicious. The menu is straight forward and serves as a carnivore’s dream. There are over six different steaks to choose from. There is also a wide selection of juicy, flavorful chops. The barbeque items featured on the menu, taste just like a warm Saturday afternoon in midsummer. The seafood selection is fresh and varies from Chilean Sea Bass to Wild Halibut. There are a plethora of side dishes to compliment any taste. To end on a high note, ask to see the various desserts that have the ability to satisfy any sweet tooth. Compliment your choice with Italian roasted coffee beans used in our espressos & coffees, or browse our cordial and cognac menu.
The ambiance of this establishment is reflective of the neighborhood it serves. The exposed brick and marble bar make for a wonderful combination, to compliment all the intricate woodworking. The window panes steam in the winter creating a cozy atmosphere.
